I would have been there for you. I didn't hear of your dad's passing until last night.
To Tom, Rich, Colleen and Shawn...I send my sincere regrets. The last time I saw Tom, Sr. he was out for a ride in our neighborhood with Rich. I will remember him smiling as he was that day.
The write-up in the local paper was so well done. You have a right to be proud of your Dad...he has quite a history.
I will call Kelly and send a spiritual bouquet in memory of Thomas J. Flaherty.
Sincerely, Mary Nohelty

To Richard,Colleen, Shawn and family
Your Dad cared about people, the town and especialy the youth.
He was a good guy always willing to help. I worked in his first Selectmans race with Deke,& Tim Cosgrove and it was a
learning lesson in local politics, as Tip O'Neil said all politics is local and they proved that true.He did put service above self. They were the greatest generation. I am very sorry for your loss.
My heart and prays are with you. I will enroll your dad in a Mass service in my church in abington.

To all my cousins, I'm very sorry for your loss..We had many great memories over the years when our families would all get together..My Uncle Junie was very special to me..He never yelled at me, never gave me a hard time, and often tried to talk some wisdom into me..Most of all, I remember all the times that we would laugh..He was a very unique man..He was strong willed and had great ambition..Truly someone to look up to..But most of all I remember how close he was with his parents and how every week you all would come down on Sunday morning to visit..I'll always remember the day I threw the cherry bomb out the window when he was getting out of the car and he jumped 10 feet off the ground..I wonder who I learned that from? I'm sure gonna miss you Uncle Junie.
Love, your favorite nephew Eagle-Beak.

To the Flaherty family, please accept my heartfelt sympathy on the passing of Tom, a man I came to know , admire and respect.
I remember Tom as a wonderful person who gave of himself to family, friends, community, and country. In this regard he was the personification of the Rotary Club's Motto: Service Above Self. It was always a pleasure to attend a Rotary meeting with Tom, he helped make those meetings memorable.
As a member and twice Chairman of the Burlington Board of Selectmen Tom likewise gave of himself for service to community. I am glad I had the opportunity to know and work with him. Rest in peace my friend.
Sincerely,
Donald J. ZOllo
Former Executive Secretary,

My fondest memory of my great-uncle Junie was when on every Thanksgiving and Christmas, he would roll up his used chewing gum and drop it into my mother's full coffee cup without her knowing it, until she got to the bottom of the cup and saw it. The look on his face was priceless because my mother was germ crazy and she'd have a fit. I also remember when I was little, how he would stick the wet end of his cigar into my ear when I wasn't looking. I will always remember the great person he was, his humour that we all inherited with the Flaherty blood, the practical jokes. I will never forget all the fond memories of him. He was a great person. He used to tell me that I put the word "great" into great-nephew. He always made me feel special. May you and Aunt Alma rest in peace.

Tom Ol friend with tears running down my cheek, I say "until we meet again you will be missed". Alma is waiting for you and Helen with a smoke in hand, tea on the table and a campaign sign ready to hold for our friend Tom.
Truely a; gentlemen, statesmen, and a friend to all. Burlington is a better place thanks to Tom and we appreciate the love and support from his wife and children.
I'll salute you as I stir my coffee with a spoon in the morning, I was one of the lucky ones who was gifted a spoon @ lunch from Tom. A sing of his friendship
