To Denise and all Mr. Burgess loved ones....
I wish Heaven had a phone so I could hear your voice again... I thought of you today, but that is nothing new...
I thought about you yesterday and days before that too....
I think of you in silence, I often speak your name...
All I have are memories and a picture in a frame...
Your memory is a keepsake from which I'll never part..
God, has you in his arms, I have you in my heart....

Our Dear Uncle "Bobo". We were so lucky to have man like Bob in our family. For all the teasing we gave him about being "tight" there was never a more generous man. With his love, his smile, his great joy for life. If there was ever a project going on, Bob would show up with his tools. If there was a need Bob was always first to jump in and help. I feel so blessed that I had a close relationship with him through the years and will miss him terribly. Bob always had a smile and a laugh that came so easily. Always optimistic and he had a kind word or helping hand for all that came in contact with him. Accomplished yet always humble, brilliant but never condescending, a true champion of a man. And as we used to tell him a boulder among mere pebbles. I will always have a smile when I think of him and the love he had for all.

I've worked for Centorr Vacuum Industries for almost 18 years, but unfortunately I did not have the pleasure of working with the man they all called Bobo. However, I've always enjoyed the stories - every single one of them good -from all of the people who were lucky enough to have worked with him at Vacuum Industries. The Bobo I know from these stories was a friendly, clever, and just man that I am sure will be deeply missed by all.

I met Bob several years ago and have always had a special place in my heart for him. He was a strong man in many ways and always had a mischeivous look about him... He always made me smile! I was very blessed to be able to share some memories with him for a few hours not too long ago and I will cherish that time always. I will never forget him. My sincerest thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Love Ann Modoono

To My Dearest Dad,
You were the first man I ever loved and just like you, I really thought you would live forever. You were so very kind, gentle, patient, easy going, helpful and brilliant. Although I have wonderful memories to reflect upon, losing you is devastating. The memory of your smile, expressions and laughter will bring comfort to my heart. Thank you Dad for always being there for me and never judging my decisions. As time passes, I truly hope I will become that patient, carefree person, just like you. Each time I see a butterfly I will smile brightly because I know you are by my side. And Dad just one other thing... You'd be proud of me... I only spent a buck 3 eighty for your card. I love you very much and miss you terribly. Your loving daughter Denise

Bob will be sorely missed here at Sunland Gardens. He was one of those great guys you could always rely on to pitch in and do what needed to be done. His friendly greetings were a high light of the day.
Deepest sympathy to Pat, Bill, and all Bob's family.

How can one console loved ones through the unbearable loss of a father, grandfather, and friend? There are no words that one can say that can say to ease their pain. As I read the Guestbook, I realize how much Bob was loved. He was a rich man indeed. I have had the wonderful pleasure of knowing two of his children, and he has passed on that wonderful ability to love with all your heart. He will surely be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and loved ones.

Our deepest condolences to the Burgess family. We have lost
a great friend. Although we have drifted apart, a very strong bond still exists. I still remember the Margie / McNeally Aces [ sandlot baseball ] of many years past. Bob , his brothers and I were team mates . We had a bat a ball , shared the few gloves and had wonderful times . We didn'tknow that we were poor . I'll never forget you Bob .

My deepest sympathies to Pat, the families, to Bill, and to all who knew Bob. He was my swimming pool partner down here at Sunland Gardens, swimming laps and discussing the weighty matters of the world. He and Bill and I would hold court at the pool most mornings and discuss life and have lots of laughs. Bob was such a kind and gentle guy, and one of the nicest persons I have ever known. I miss him so much.

I had the great pleasure of living next door to Bob and Pat for 5 years in Sarasota. He was a wonderful person. Always had a smile on his face, and willing to lend a helping hand. He was one of the nicest people I ever met. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. It will never be the same not having him as my neighbor.
My thoughts and prayers are with Pat and his family.

I already am feeling his loss so very much. He was a Wonderful and Kind person, and was loved by all who knew him. He would do anything, for anyone. He was always there for me night or day, whenever I called, or knocked on the door. He will be truly missed!

It is so sad to know that such a great man left us
so quickly. He did so well after his heart surgery
and we thought he'd be around to cheer us up for a
long time. He was such a kind and considerate man
and always stopped to talk whenever we saw him around
our condominium here in Sarasota. I will forever remember
his smile and thoughtfulness. He was Bill's sidekick
and together they accomplished many needed repairs
around our condominium.
My deepest sympathy goes out to Bob's family and to
Bill and his family. They will all miss him but they
can truly celebrate a life well lived.
In faith,
Edna Gordon
