Obituary of Pauline Ames Forbes

Pauline Ames Forbes of Burlington went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 4, 2006. Born in Boston, on May 5, 1932, she was the daughter of Howard and Alice (Ressler) Brentlinger. She was a member of the Belmont High School Class of 1950 and took courses at Northeastern University. Pauline was active in the community and school activities, particularly those involving her children. She sang in church choirs and played the French horn in the Belmont High School and Northeastern University bands. She worked with her husband in property management and served as a homemaker. Pauline was married to Douglas Porter Forbes for over 50 years. He predeceased her on November 27, 2003. Besides her husband, she leaves a son; Douglas Porter Forbes, Jr. of Brockton, MA and 3 daughters; Cheryl Ann Kenney of Pittsfield, MA, Sandy Lee Paulson of Amesbury, MA, and Wendy Alice St. Aubin of Mansfield, MA, as well as 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was the sister of Ann Bragg of Toledo, OH, the late Howard Brentlinger and Caroline Williams. A service of remembrance will be held at the Fellowship Bible Church, 71 Center St., Burlington, MA on Monday, July 10 at 11 a.m. Friends welcome. Interment will be private. Visiting hours omitted.
