Obituary of Margaret Rossi

Margaret T. (Fox) Rossi, passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, on Wednesday morning, July 14, 2010. The wife of the late Joseph B. Rossi and Bernard McLaughlin, she was 84 years old. Margaret was born in Boston. She was one of 7 children born to the late Edward and Mary Fox. She was raised and educated in Brighton and Charlestown and was a graduate of Charlestown High School. Margaret lived in Rocky Hill, CT for 35 years before moving to Woburn ten years ago. Margaret was an independent woman who had a successful career as a Property Manager while living in CT. She owned her own buildings in addition to managing other properties. She enjoyed traveling and had visited such locations as Florida, Las Vegas and Hawaii. She frequently went to music shows at the South Shore Music Circus as well as Harborlights. Margaret was a member of the Woburn Senior Citizens for a number of years. Margaret’s family was the center of her life. She treasured the time that she spent with her children and their families. Margaret was blessed to live a life that spanned 84 years that was filled with a loving family. Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Joseph B. Rossi & Bernard McLaughlin. She was the loving mother of John McLaughlin & his wife Connie of Melrose, Charles McLaughlin & his wife Linda of Wakefield, and Mary Ann Curro & her husband Joseph of Burlington. She was the sister of Mary Kelly of Bowie, MD, Rose Stryke of Woburn, Rita Keohane of Magnolia, Maureen Crocker of N. Andover & the late Elizabeth Sullivan and Edward Fox. Grandmother of John McLaughlin, Jr., Christine Hickey, Jennifer Curro, Karen Gulino, Erin Lyons, and Eileen Colleran. Great Grandmother of 11. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, July 17 at 10:30 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 11:30 a.m. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
