She was a war bride and after meeting her husband she came to the United States to be married. She lived in Medford for many years before moving to Woburn. Betty worked with her husband Scotty at McCord/Textron in Winchester for many years. In more recent years, she worked in the domestics department at Building 19 in Burlington. She took great pride in her work and especially enjoyed taking care of her many repeat customers. She finally retired shortly before her 88th birthday. Betty was an avid reader, loved animals and in her younger years, enjoyed preparing traditional Sunday dinners for her family. Friends always gathered at the Scott residence for holidays to feast on Betty’s holiday meals. She was a very giving person and gladly helped anyone in need unconditionally.
