Obituary of Angelo Mastracci
Angelo Mastracci, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington on Tuesday evening, August 17, 2010. The husband of Carolina (Lanzi) for 53 years, hewas 83 years old.
Angelo was born in Veroli, Italy. He was one of 12 children born to the late Antonino and Liberata Mastracci. He lived in Veroli, Italy until the age of 43 when he came to the United States. Angelo settled in Alhambra, CA where he lived until moving to Burlington in 1997. Angelo worked as a Mason while living in Italy. When he moved to the United States he worked for Disney Studios in their labor union doing construction on the television and movie sets. He was very proud to work at Disney and even more proud of his work and contributions to the sets. Angelo was an avid outdoorsman. He was an avid hunter, a sport he learned from his father in Italy. He also enjoyed fishing. He loved to work in his garden in which he took great delight. His garden in California, had won a number of awards over the years. Angelo also enjoyed the art of wine making. His family was the most important part of Angelo’s life. He would much prefer having his family around his dining room table enjoying a homemade meal than going out to eat at a restaurant. He appreciated the simple pleasures in life and happiest when he had his family at his side.
Angelo was the beloved husband of Carolina (Lanzi) Mastracci of Burlington. He was the loving father of Antonio “Tony” Mastracci & his wife Lola Marie of Burlington, and Patricia Mastracci of Burlington. He was the brother of Gregorio Mastracci of Canada, Agata Quattrocis & Teresa De Gasperis both of France, Maria Lanzi and Assunta Rossi both of Italy. He was predeceased by 6 brothers & sisters. He was the extremely proud grandfather of Anthony, Alissa, Angela, and Katrina Mastracci.
Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, Aug. 21 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington. Memorial donations in Angelo’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 350 Congress St., 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210.
