Obituary of David Anthony

David S. Anthony, Sr., passed away at his home on Wednesday morning, August 18, 2010. He was 70 years old. David was born, raised and educated in Arlington, MA. He was the son of the late Charles and Dorothy Evans. David was a veteran serving his country in the United States Air Force. David lived in Burlington, MA for over 30 years before moving to Exeter, NH in 2006. David worked for many years as an auto mechanic and drag racing mechanic. He always had a passion for coin collecting. He co-owned Lexington Coin for over 20 years and enjoyed a career as a numismatist. David had full and active life. He would often be seen driving around town in his Corvette. He loved golf and played for many years. He loved music and was an avid Boston sports fan following both the Red Sox and the Patriots. David will be missed by his family and many friendships he made over the years. David was the beloved husband of Robyn (Matheson) and the late Frances L. (Tuff). He was the loving father of William & his wife Kathleen of Burlington and David Jr. of Exeter, NH. He was the brother of Barbara Bona of NH, Robert of ME and the late Charles. Stepfather of Daniel & Derek Fanaras, both of NH. Grandfather of Jacob, Molly, Krystyna, Samantha & Michael. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt., 128, Woburn side) on Sunday, Aug. 29 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials in David’s name may be made to the Presbyterian Church, 335 Cambridge St., Burlington, MA 01803 or Seacoast Hospice, 10 Hampton Road, Exeter, NH 03833.
