Obituary of Kevin Vollmar

Kevin C. Vollmar, a resident of Woburn since 1977, passed away at the Winchester Hospital on Wednesday, August 29, 2012. The beloved husband of 41 years of Lauretta (Doherty) he was 63 years old. Kevin was born in Boston. He was one of five children born to the late Paul and Marie Eileen (Bowers). Kevin was raised and educated in Winchester and was a graduate of Winchester High School. He went on to graduate from Boston College. Kevin had a career in the Automotive Industry. He held positions in both Finance and Credit. Kevin worked at Miles Chrysler in Brighton and for many years at Toyota of Watertown. He retired three years ago as a Finance Manager at Lexus of Danvers. Kevin and Lauretta settled in Woburn in 1977. Kevin & Lauretta shared a vacation home with his sister Jeanne and her family in Madison NH where they spent many happy times together. Fishing was one of Kevin’s hobbies and he looked forward to their annual Fishing Derby in Madison. He also enjoyed golfing at the Woburn Country Club. Kevin and Lauretta enjoyed traveling and had taken many cruises and trips to Bermuda and the Caribbean. Kevin will be remembered as a loving husband, brother, uncle and friend. Kevin was the beloved husband of 41 years of Lauretta (Doherty). He was the loving brother of Paul F. Jr. of Billerica, Jeanne McCorry & her husband Robert of Wakefield, Peter & his wife Judith of Reading, Christopher & his wife Brenda of Tewksbury. Brother-in-law of Diane Coffill & her husband Ralph of Woburn, Kevin Doherty of Rockport & his late wife Donna, Jack Doherty of Woburn and the late Alfred & Edward Doherty. Dear friend of George Magnani of North Reading. Kevin is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St., Woburn at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Monday 4-7 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
