Obituary of Julia Enos

Julia M. (Zwickert) Enos, a resident of Burlington for 59 years, passed away at her home on Wednesday evening, September 15, 2010. The wife of 61 years of Elmer R. Enos she was 82 years old. Julia was born, raised and educated in Franklin. She was the daughter of the late Maxwell and Dorothy Zwickert. After high school Julia went on to graduate from Robert Breck Brigham School of Nursing. Julia worked as a Nurse at the Choate Hospital in Woburn and retired from the Winchester Hospital. Julia and her husband settled in the Winnmere section of Burlington in 1951 where they raised their six children and made many friendships. She enjoyed reading and knitting. She loved to play bingo with her friends and neighbors. Julia and her family enjoyed camping together at Wyman Beach in Westford when her children were younger. Julia’s greatest role in life was that of wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be lovingly missed. Julia was the beloved wife of 61 years of Elmer R. Enos. She was the loving mother of Elmer R. Enos of Chelmsford, Judith M. Enos of Burlington, Lorraine Hemmingson of Burlington & her husband the late Carl, Susan Eicher & her husband Thomas of Billerica, Kevin Enos of Burlington and the late Elaine Mullen. Also survived by 8 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Tuesday, Sept 21 at 9 a.m. Followed by Graveside Services at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Bedford St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Monday 6-8 p.m. Memorials in Julia’s name may be made to VNA Hospice Care, 100 Sylvan Road, Suite G-500, Woburn, MA 01801 or Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
