Hugh met his future wife, Mary Minassian and they were married in July of 1949. They made their home in Belmont most of their married life. They enjoyed traveling all around the United States. Hugh was a huge Red Sox fan. He was of the few people who could say that he remembered seeing the Red Sox win the World Series in 1918, 2004, and 2007.
