Obituary of Phyllis Casa
Phyllis E. Casa passed away at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading on Sunday night, October 31, 2010. She was 92 years old. Phyllis was born in Somerville, the daughter of the late George and Catherine Seabrook. She grew up and was educated in the Ten Hills Section of Somerville. She married her husband Arthur and they settled in Burlington 54 years ago to raise their 2 daughters. Phyllis worked as a waitress at Valley’s Steak House in Saugus for many years. She loved her home and many neighbors on Lantern Lane. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Phyllis was the beloved wife of the late Arthur M. Casa. She was the loving mother Donna M. Casa-Martin & her husband Francois Martin of Montreal, Quebec and Kate Casa & her husband Joel Olicker of Arlington. She was predeceased by her siblings; Doris Berry, Gladys Tiegens, Charles, George, William, Edward & Ralph Seabrook. Sister-in-law of Richard & Barbara Casa of Arlington. She was the grandmother of Marie-Laure Casa-Martin & her husband Russell Steele, Zachary Jay Casa-Olicker, and Eva Moon Casa-Olicker and great grandmother of Luca Arthur Steele. Dear friend of Judy, Alan, Phyllis, Kerry, Richie, Stephen, Eric and Jenifer Asetta. Phyllis was also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn Street, BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Wednesday, November 3 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Malachy Church, 99 Bedford St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Tuesday 6-8 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
