Obituary of James Iannacci
James “Jimmy” Iannacci, a lifelong resident of Woburn, passed away at his home on Monday, January 10, 2011, after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was 57 years old.
Jimmy was born in Woburn. He grew up helping on his family’s farm, “Iannacci Farm” in Woburn raising cattle and vegetable crops. Working on the farm was strenuous, but he credited that hard work with his great success on football field at Woburn High School. His great love of music led him to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston. He was a talented pianist and guitarist, which was a sharp contrast to an athletic high school football player. He worked as a truck driver for Winn Express until his Multiple Sclerosis progressed to the point he was unable to work. He accepted his limitations and continued on with his life with a positive outlook. He enjoyed his music, family and the companionship of his dogs. His grandson, Eddie, was the light of his life and gave him the reason to endure. He will be lovingly remembered by all his family and friends.
Jimmy was the beloved husband of Patricia (O’Hearn). He was the loving father of Jessica of Woburn and proud grandfather of Eddie of Woburn. He was the son of Lillian of Woburn and the late James Iannacci, Sr. He was the brother of Robert & his wife Maura and Carolann Darcangelo & her husband Nicky all of Woburn. He was the son-in-law of Joseph O’Hearn of Derry, NH and the late Madeline O’Hearn and brother-in-law of Maureen O’Hearn & her partner Sharon Cann of Derry, NH and Douglas O’Hearn of Somersworth, NH. Jimmy was also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, January 15 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Barbara’s Church, 138 Cambridge Rd, Woburn at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
