Obituary of Richard Emil Wolfram
Richard E. Wolfram, a resident of Burlington for 41 years, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday evening, August 5, 2006. The husband of Dorothy (Caruso) he was 72 years old.
Dick was born in Melrose. He was the son of the late Carl and Augustus Wolfram. He was raised in Malden and during his high school years moved to Arlington. He was a 1952 graduate of Arlington High. Dick was a Veteran of the Korean War serving his country in the United States Air Force. He was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal. Dick and his wife lived in Belmont and Arlington before settling in Burlington in 1965. He was employed as a Publications Manager at AVCO in Everett for over 35 years. Dick enjoyed anything to do with sports from watching the local sports teams to watching a golf tournament on television. He enjoyed traveling to Ogunquit, Maine, Las Vegas, and Foxwoods. He and his wife would spend a month each year visiting with their daughter Diane in California. Dick enjoyed his home and entertaining. He was a family man who treasured the many special times he spent with this wife, daughters, and granddaughter Alex.
Dick is the beloved husband of Dorothy (Caruso). He is the loving father of Diane & her husband Gary Corey of Wildomar, CA and Linda & her husband David Panosian of Burlington. He is the brother of the late Marjorie Krueger, Dorothy Tauro, and Carl Wolfram. He is the grandfather of Alex Panosian. He is the loving brother-in-law of Denise Clarke and her family Eric, Peter, and Jen. He is the uncle of Steven, John and Richard Tauro. A Memorial Wake will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Sunday, August 13 from 3-7 p.m. Interment will be private. Please omit flowers.
