We have so many wonderful memories of Ruth, especially when she visited us in the UK. She made friends here so easily, and we know how much she loved being here, especially visiting the seaside towns here in Wales. (The ocean,as Ruth called it). She was unique, so kind, so generous which touched everyone she met. She never had a bad word to say about anyone. We will miss her dearly.
Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed, and very dear.

What a wonderful person I only met Ruth a couple times when she would visit Caitlin in Chicago but she gave the best hugs you could ever recieve. Her smile was even better. Thank you Ruth for giving me the chance to get to know you. You will surely be missed. May you rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers to the Turner Family.

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Ruthie. She has been a friend since my days at St. Mary's Academy and Lawrence General Hospital School of Nursing. We shared the same love of Pediatrics and many fun times at our reunions held in Maine. She always had some unique story to tell us and was funny kind and compassionate. Since High School she had taken me under her wing because she felt a motherly concern for me. My prayers and condolences to all of you for this most difficult and sad time

Dear Adrian, Justin and Caitlin. I was deeply saddened when I heard this news. Some of my finest memories in America were the times I spent with Ruth and your family. When I arrived from Ireland you took me in to your home, and treated me like an old friend. I remember fondly Thanksgivings spent at your house. Ruth was a gracious host, and I will always remember her kindness, and her great love for the rest of her family. May she rest in peace.

Dear Adrian and the Turner family,
It is with great sadness I started the day with the news of Ruth's passing.
I had the great joy to spend time with Ruth when I needed help and with care, she was a great host, always making me feel at home in her kingdom.
Whether it was a cup of tea, a warm meal or a friendly laugh, Ruth had the greatest of hearts.
My thoughts are with Adrian and the Turner family.
I'm sending Ruth a respectful goodbye wave and many thanks for her warmth.

I was a classmate of Ruth's at St. Mary's. Reading her obituary I can see that her caring and giving spirit back then was just the beginning of a beautiful and meaningful life. May all your wonderful memories of her bring strength during this sorrowful time. God bless everyone.

We have way too many stories and fond memories to even begin to relate here. If we had to select the best of all our Ruth stories to tell at the service we would suggest the time we sailed to Marblehead Harbor, then lost the main halyard up the mast...what an adventure! The girl had spunk. We wish we could be with you all at this time. We immediately got out all our old pictures of weddings, christenings and parties and started smiling at all the emotion they evoked. We will be with you in our hearts.

Dear Adrian, Justin and Caitie,
We are so sad to hear of Ruth’s passing. She was like an angel sent to us 26 years ago when we brought Sean, our newborn, home after five months in the hospital. Ruth was our respite nurse and the only person we felt safe leaving him with for a long time. As Sean grew older, we treasured our “respite weekends” when he stayed at your home so Jim and I could have some rare time away. Sean always felt like part of your family and enjoyed his time with you so much. Even as he grew into healthy adulthood, Ruth always remembered his birthday and Christmas with gifts and cards. She was very special person.
