Obituary of Eileen Ciambriello
Eileen (Barraclough) Ciambriello, a compassionate and caring woman who gave of herself to others, passed away at her home with her daughter Shaileen by her side, on Tuesday morning, February 22, 2011. She had just celebrated her 75 birthday.
Eileen was born, raised and educated in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. She was the daughter of the late Leslie and Edna May Barraclough. When she was in her early 20’s Eileen made a number of trips to visit Massachusetts and would stay for months on end. She finally decided to make the United States her home in 1961 and settled in Woburn in 1971. Eileen worked a number of jobs early in her career but eventually settled into the role of Care Giver for the Elderly. She would take her clients shopping, make their meals, and take them on doctor’s visits. These clients became her family and Eileen and her daughter Shaileen would welcome them into their home to celebrate holidays and other special occasions. She had a wonderful group of friends that included her neighbors who were her family. Eileen was a talented seamstress and would make all her daughter’s clothes when she was growing up as well as items for her home such as draperies. Eileen will be remembered as a loving mother and friend to her daughter Shaileen. She will also be remembered for her caring and compassionate nature and a woman that always gave of herself to others.
Eileen was the beloved mother of Shaileen Santoro & her husband Paul of Framingham. She was the loving sister of the late Royston Barraclough. Eileen is also survived by many wonderful friends and great neighbors who where just like her family. Interment will be private. Eileen’s daughter Shaileen would like to thank everyone at the Winchester Hospital and Dr. Fuller & the Oncology Team at 88 Montvale Ave in Stoneham.
