Donna, I only met you in the last few years but I am glad I had the chance to know you. Despite the adversities you were dealt, you faced each day with grace and kindness. No matter what kind of day you were having, you would put a smile on and do everything possible to make patients feel comfortable. You have taught me by example to remember the feelings of others, to place myself in their shoes. We all miss you and I hope you're up their dancing!

Donna you were my first introduction to Lahey Clinic 20 some years ago, greeted with a smile, and most gracious welcoming hello starting in the Messenger Escort Dept. Working with Donna was always fun and light hearted. You leave us with only found memories of your kindness, wonderful smile, and a true ability to make everyone feel special! You will not be forgotten.

Donna, you were such a beautiful person inside and out. I am so grateful to have known you for nearly 8 years. You were always soo positive and caring and I learned a great deal from you. You will be truly missed. Heaven certainly has been blessed with another angel. "Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy."

Donna,
your kindness never went unnoticed or unappreciated. I still have the card you gave me in october and it reminds me of just how thoughtful you always were. This is an Irish prayer that I've always kept close:
Death is nothing at all
I have only slipped away into the next room
I am I and you are you
Whatever we were to each other
That we are still
Call me by my old familiar name
Speak to me in the easy way you always used
Put no difference into your tone
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow
Laugh as we always laughed
At the little jokes we always enjoyed together
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was
Let it be spoken without effort
Without the ghost of a shadow in it
Life means all that it ever meant
It is the same as it ever was
There is absolute unbroken continuity
What is death but a negligible accident?
Why should I be out of mind
Because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you for an interval
Somewhere very near
Just around the corner
All is well.
Nothing is past; nothing is lost
One brief moment and all will be as it was before
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!
Rest easy Donna
