Obituary of Anthony Magliozzi
Anthony Magliozzi passed away unexpectedly at his home, on Thursday morning, March 17, 2011. The husband of Anna (Abbondante) he was 90 years old.
Anthony was born in Gaeta Italy. He was the son of the late Angelo and Assunta Magliozzi. His family settled in Cambridge before moving to Somerville where he was raised and educated. Anthony was a veteran of World War II serving his country in the United States Army. He was the recipient of the American Theater Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon with one bronze service star, Good Conduct Medal and Victory Medal II. Anthony had a successful career working at BLH Electronics in Waltham. He also enjoyed wood working and gardening.
Anthony was the beloved husband of Anna (Abbondante). He was the loving father of David A. Magliozzi & his wife Rose and Steven Magliozzi all of Burlington. Brother of Val Magliozzi of Burlington and the late Vincent and Cosmo Magliozzi. Grandfather of Christopher. Funeral Services will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Wednesday, March 23 at 11:30 a.m. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery. Memorials in Anthony’s name may be made to the charity of one’s own choice.
