Obituary of Virginia Crevo

Virginia M. (Watterson) Crevo, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, after a brief illness at the Anna Jaques Hospital, on Wednesday, May 4, 2011. The wife of 61 years to Robert J. Crevo, she was 85 years old. Virginia was born in Boston. She was the daughter of the late William & Teresa Watterson. Virginia was raised and educated in Arlington. She attended St. Agnes Grammar School and was a graduate of Arlington High School where she played badmitten and basketball. As a child Virginia and her family enjoyed taking trips to Long Island where they visited Coney Island and the World’s Fair. Virginia and her husband moved to Burlington in 1955 where they raised their three children. Virginia had a heart of gold and was the ultimate care giver. She was always caring for others. She helped take care of her dad and her in-laws in their declining years. She enjoyed camping with her family as well as her late brother Paul and his family. Virginia will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Virginia was the beloved wife of 61 years to Robert J. Crevo. She was the loving mother of Kathleen Bellini & her husband Nicholas of Amesbury, Christine Thorstensen & her husband Eric of Billerica and the late Robert J. Crevo, Jr. she was the sister of the late Mary, William & Paul Watterson. Grandmother of Lauren Prince of Chelmsford, Kara Thorstensen of Billerica, and Phillip Bellini of Boston. A visiting hour will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Monday, May 9 from 11 a.m. – 12 Noon. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 12:30 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, BURLINGTON. Memorials in Virginia’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02742.
