Paula A. Medeiros, A manager at Macy’s, passed away unexpectedly at the Lowell General Hospital on Thursday afternoon, May 26, 2011. She was 62 years old. Paula was born in Lowell. She grew up in Tewksbury. She was a graduate Tewksbury High School. She furthered her education at Middlesex Community College and Northeastern University. She was currently working as a manager at the Fine Jewelry Department of the Macy’s Department Store in Nashua, NH. She had previously worked as a manager of the Build-A-Bear Store at the Burlington Mall. Being a natural shopper, it gave her great pleasure in guiding customers in their purchasing decisions. As a Macy’s employee, she had the opportunity to march in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade in New York dressed as a clown for the past 3 years. Paula’s life revolved around her family. She was a devoted and loving wife to her late husband, Joseph. She was a caring and understanding mother, who was also her daughter’s friend. She was an extremely proud grandmother. She was always happiest when she was with her family sharing a dinner, celebrating a special event or holiday. She enjoyed the outdoors and “Cruising the Caribbean”. She loved animals especially her dogs. She will be remembered for warmth, laughter, and kindness and her passing leaves a void in the lives of those she touched. Paula was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Medeiros, Jr. She was the loving mother of Robin Smith & her husband Dan and Stacey Finn & her husband Jim all of Billerica. She was the daughter of Eileen Anderson of Tewksbury and the late Ronald Anderson. She was the sister of Lynn Mountcastle, Susan, Kevin & Shawn Anderson all of Tewksbury, and Jeff Anderson of Haverhill. She was the proud grandmother of Heather & D.J. Smith and James Finn. She was also loved by many nieces, nephews, and friends Funeral services will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Tuesday, May 31 at 11 a.m. Visiting hours Monday 5-8 p.m. Interment in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
