Obituary of Esther Fink

Esther Malka Fink, 73 years old, entered into rest on Monday, June 13, 2011. Esther was born in Boston to Russian immigrants, the late Jacob Franklin and Sophia Katz. She grew up in Brookline. Throughout her life she demonstrated a love of the arts and was talented in many areas. At Brookline High School she was a violinist and Concert Mistress. Her artistic talents also included drawing and mosaic and not long ago her work was included in an exihibit at the Somerville Museum. Esther studied Psychology at New York University, where she met her future husband, Franklin Fink. She was a devoted mother to Rachel Fink, Judith Fink Johnson,and Ronald Fink, mother-in-law to John Johnson and the late Gerard Smith, and a loving grandmother to Melanie and Margo Johnson. She loved nothing more than being around her family and many friends, and despite her illness made every attempt to stay in touch with those she loved. Services will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Thursday, June 16 at Noon. Interment at the Montefiore Cemetery, Woburn. Expressions of Sympathy in her memory may be made to a favorite charity.
