Obituary of Joseph Baker

Joseph F. Baker, a 29 year resident of Burlington, passed away at the Health South New England Rehabilitation Hospital in Woburn, on Saturday, August 19, 2006. The husband of Kathryn A. (Boucher) Baker, he was 66 years old. Mr. Baker was born in Boston. He was raised and educated in Dorchester. He was the son of the late Joseph H. & Frances J. Baker. Mr. Baker was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Vietnam War. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal. He was employed for over 33 years at the M.B.T.A. retiring in 2001. He was very well liked by his peers and over the years had held a wide variety of positions within the MBTA. He was a member of Local 589. He enjoyed all types of music and had a vast music collection. He was a huge Boston Braves fan. Even when the team left Boston, Joe continued to follow and support the Braves. Mr. Baker is the beloved husband of Kathryn A. (Boucher) Baker. He is the loving father of Joseph Baker and Kevin Baker both of Burlington. Funeral Services were private.
