Obituary of Evelyn Gay

Evelyn (DuLong) Gay, a resident of Burlington, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family, on Wednesday evening, June 22, 2011.She was 86 years old. Evelyn was born in Woburn, Ma. the daughter of the late Francis and Oscar DuLong. She married her husband Allan and they made their home in the Winnmere section of Burlington for 45 years. She had worked at MKS Instruments as a Shift Leader. She had also worked at Raytheon. She was a member of The VFW, the American Legion, and the DAV. Evelyn's life was devoted to her family. She was a loving and caring mother of 5 children, 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She took great effort to keep her family close. Her home was always filled with family, laughter, and lasting memories. She enjoyed painting, baking, and playing cards. Evelyn was the beloved wife of 58 years of the late Allan Gay. She was the loving mother of James Gay & his wife Theresa of Arkansas, the late Rita Daniels & her husband Jamie of Monmouth, IL, Allan Gay, Jr. & his wife Angie of Bellvue, FL., Elaine Herbert & Nelson M. of Lowell and Cindy Brunelle & her husband Dennis of Burlington. She was the sister of the late Clarence Dulong, his wife Pat, John Dulong, Charlie Dulong, and Jeanie and Richard Cendella. Also survived by 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Sat. June 25 at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
