Obituary of Louise Ridley
Louise Ruth Ridley, a woman devoted to her family, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center on Wednesday, June 22, 2011. She was 75 years old.
Louise was born in Malden, the daughter of the late William and Gertrude Turner. She grew up in Wakefield. She was a graduate of the Nazareth Academy and Melrose Wakefield Nursing School. She married and chose to be a mother and homemaker to her daughter and son. After her children were old enough, she worked in the accounting department at Computervision/ Prime. She ended her working career using her nursing education as an Aid at Eldercare Services. She found assisting the elderly extremely rewarding.
Louise’s life revolved around her family. She was a supportive and understanding mother. She worked hard to enrich their lives. She loved being a grandmother. As a grandmother she enjoyed all the rewards and indulges that come along with being a grandparent like not having to say “No”, extra treats, or just being able to act like a kid instead of a responsible adult. She was extremely looking forward to seeing her first great grandchild, Jane Louise Bullen. Louise did have interests and hobbies during her life time. When she was young, she enjoyed horseback riding, sailing, and being a member of the Community Boating located on the banks of the Charles River. Louise embraced life, cherished her family, and will always be lovingly remembered.
Louise was the mother of Luanne Macdonald & her husband Peter of Tewksbury and the late Robert Gordon Ridley, Jr. She was the sister of the late Fred Turner. She was the proud grandmother of Sara Bullen of Woburn and Amy Macdonald of Tewksbury. And great grandmother of Jane Louise Bullen. A Memorial Service will be held at the Grace Chapel Fellowship Hall, 59 Worthen Rd, Lexington on Tuesday, July 26 at 2 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
