Obituary of Shawn Patterson

Shawn P. Patterson passed away with his mother and sister at his bedside after a brief illness at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston on Saturday morning, August 20, 2011. He was 27 years old. Shawn was born in Winchester. He grew up in Burlington. He was a graduate of Shawsheen Technical High School in 2003. He was an avid fisherman and chose to work in Maine as a Commercial Fisherman. He spent much of his time as a crew member of the Canadian Mist and Autumn Mist. He loved the ocean and fishing. He was also an avid hunter. He was a fan of Country music and playing the drums. He enjoyed riding his ATV. He prized the time spent with his family and friends. Shawn is the son of Dotty Chaloux-Patterson of Tewksbury & her companion John Callahan and the late Lawrence Patterson. He was the loving brother of Lawren Lea Patterson of Billerica & her fiancé Anthony Passalaqua, Jr. Shawn was also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Tuesday, August 23 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Monday from 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
