Obituary of John Sullivan

John V. Sullivan, a retired Constable for the City of Boston, passed away at the Epoch of Melrose Nursing Home on Thursday morning, October 11, 2012. He was 95 years old. John was born in Boston. He was the son of the late Michael and Margaret Sullivan. John was a Veteran of World War II serving his country in the United States Navy. He was the recipient of the World War II Victory Medal and the American Theatre Medal. John worked as a Constable in the City of Boston for over 35 years. He was a member of the Blue Knights which is a Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club for both active and retired members of Law Enforcement. John was a past “Quartermaster”. John made many friendships in this club and road all over the United States and Canada. John was the brother of the late Margaret “Peg” Sullivan. John was the good friend of Ed Snelson & his family. A visiting hour will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday Oct. 13 from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Malachy Church, 99 Bedford St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Winchester.
