Obituary of Andrew Doherty Sheldon

Andrew Doherty Sheldon, a lifelong resident of Burlington, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday evening, October 23, 2018.  The son of the late George and Marilyn Sheldon, he was 53 years old.

Andy was born in Medford. He was raised and educated in Burlington. Growing up in Burlington Andy participated in youth sports such as hockey and baseball.  He had a great love for music with Bob Segar being his favorite musician.    His dad George was a dedicated Marine and Andy loved to participate with his dad in the many Marine Events that his dad was involved in.  Andy was a fun uncle to his nieces and nephews and loved to spend time with them.  He made many friendships at the Elmbrook Club in Burlington and enjoyed spending time there.   Andy will be remembered as a friendly and kind person who had great love for his family.

Andy is the beloved son of the late George and Marilyn Sheldon.  He was the loving brother of George Sheldon & his wife Kathy of Nashua, NH, April Bartlett & her husband Ralph of Billerica, Laura Sheldon & her wife Amy Carle of Anchorage AK, Kenneth Sheldon & his wife Myong and  Gladys McDonald all of Burlington, the late John and James Sheldon.   Andy is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews.  Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128/95 Woburn side) on Thursday, Nov. 1 from 6-8 p.m.  Funeral Services will be private.   Memorials in Andy's name may be made to the Elmbrook Club, 4 A Street, 1st Floor, Burlington, MA 01803
