Obituary of Rosemary Adams

Rosemary June Adams, a woman who devoted her life to the care and support of her family, passed away Sunday morning at the age of 86. Every aspect of her life was focused on her family, with little time left for anything else. Her husband, daughter, grandchildren, and siblings were her world. They were her best friends and center of her universe. She unselfishly devoted her life to all those she loved, creating a warm and loving home filled with aromas from her many family dinner creations. She was simply there for all those she loved, whether it was Sundays spent with her sisters, in the stands and audience for her grandchildren’s sports, activities, and life accomplishments, the reassuring mother who was always there to lend a hand, offer advice, all without judgment, or simply being a loving wife to her husband Tom for 58 years. She loved her cats and her love was even seen in concern for the birds and animals in her backyard, where she was known to feed them from her hand. She has given her family a wonderful example of how to love unconditionally and completely, and something they can strive for in their own lives. Outside of her home, Rosemary had worked at several jobs including a manager at the local shoe store, school lunch aid, and at an insurance company. She had made her home in Burlington for the past 53 years. Rosemary was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Adams. She was the loving mother of Cynthia Bent & her husband Steven of Tewksbury. She was the proud grandmother of Derek Bent of Tewksbury and Danielle Bent of Lakewood, CO. She was the sister of the late Lillian Arena, Helen and Frank Zinkowski. She was also the sister-in-law of Anne Sullivan of Dorchester and aunt of Debbie Hogan & her husband John and daughter Alicia. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON, (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Thursday, October 18 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington. Memorials in Rosemary’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
