Obituary of Arthur DePaz

Arthur DePaz, passed away at the Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough, NH on Thursday afternoon, September 22, 2011 with his family at his bedside. The husband of the late Winifred L. Holt (Crowell) whom he was married to for 25 wonderful years, he was 90 years old. Arthur was born in Cambridge. He was the son of the late John and Palmira DePaz. Arthur was a Veteran of World War II serving his country in the United States Army. Arthur was the recipient of the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, Philippines Liberation Ribbon and World War II Victor Medal. Arthur worked at Houghton Mifflin Company for over 20 years. Arthur had a great love of animals and nature. The Animal Planet was one of his favorite shows. Arthur enjoyed tinkering with cars, listening to music from the era of the 30 and 40’s and spending time with family and friends. Arthur was the beloved husband of the late Winifred L. Holt (Crowell). He was the loving step-father of Chester Holt & his wife Gail of East Hampstead, NH, Patricia Lavoie & her husband Robert of Greenville, NH with whom he had been residing with, and the late John Cockell. Arthur is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his loving family. A visiting hour will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Tuesday, Sept. 27 from 11- 12 Noon. Followed by Funeral Services at 12 Noon. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Donations may be made at your local spca in lieu of flowers. Interment in Shawsheen Cemetery, Bedford.
