It has been a honorable to have Father Fitzparick during my tenure as a student at the Boston School for the Deaf. We, Fitz, Katherine Peterson and I, have achieved TTY demonstration in a general public to emphasize that the communication for the deaf have made possible. Also, I have served as an altar boy during the mass at school's chapel. I have missed him so dearly. Thank you, Father Fitzpatrick for everything that have made me a successful future ...

I can still see Father Fitz on his motorcycle with one of his dogs! What a sight! I often would go to DCC for meetings or social events in the Deaf Community. He was one of the only Priests I could, in good conscious, call "Father" Fitz. I didn't see him very frequently, the last couple years, but I knew someone who talked with him on the phone and I would send my greeting to him. To his family and the greater Deaf community, I wish them all, peace.

I had the privilege to have grown up with Father Fritz as my favorite priest of my life.
He was a new priest in Lexington, Ma, he was calling on parishioners to introduce himself. I was about 3 years old at the time! My mother had something on the stove and excused herself to make sure it was not burning. It seems I immediately liked Father Fritz; when my mother returned to the living room I had crawled up into his lap and was chit chatting away with him!!! My mother said his face was priceless. My you rest easy Father! I have never forgotten you in 62 years. Meredith Viano

I am so sorry to hear of Father Fitzpatrick's death. I knew him when he ministered at the Deaf Community Center on our property in Framingham. He worked with us in establishing Bethany Hill Place, where his "men" had two apartments within the building. This spring we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of Bethany Hill Place, and will certainly remember Fr. Fitz in our commemorations.
I hope his services in the spring will be publicized so that I can attend.

It was a true pleasure to see John on his motorcycle. as he enjoyed the joys of life. A white cap on his head and a dog in the basket behind him as he motored down the narrow Charleston Streets.
May his memory be a blessing. Always remembered.

Fr. Fitz was there for my family during very difficult times. He was loving and kind. On several occassions he brought Howie over to visit with the kids, riding on his motorcycle, and it always made us smile. We were blessed to have him at St. Anselm's Parish and the Deaf Community was a great part of that Parish family, thanks to Fr. Fitz. He showed great compassion for people who were hurting. He was light in the world, for sure.

Our lives are but fine weavings
That God and we prepare
Each life becomes a fabric planned
And fashioned in His care
We may not always see just how
The weavings intertwine
But we must trust the Master's hand
And follow His design
For He can view the pattern
Upon the upper side
While we must look from underneath
And trust in Him to guide
Dear Fr. Jack, we miss you and will treasure our memories of moments shared with joy & laughter.
