Obituary of Kathleen Elizabeth Cronin

Kathleen E. “Kasey” Cronin passed away suddenly on Sunday
morning, March 31, 2019. She was 55 years old. Kasey was
born in Winchester. She was 1 of 6 children born to John and
Kathleen Cronin. She grew up in Burlington and was a 1981
graduate of Shawsheen Technical High School in Billerica. She
had lived in Woburn for the past 30 years.
Kasey loved people and had a huge heart. She conveyed that
love by being a home health aid to many. She made long time
friends from many of her occupations: Foxglove, Leewards, ‘the
building’. Her all time favorite position was that of truck driver.
She wanted to follow in her dad and big brother Jack’s
footsteps. She would do anything for family or friends. She
had an outgoing personality and loved spending time with
family, friends, and soon to be friends. She was active at the
South End Italian Club in Woburn for many years. She loved
going to any beach with Old Orchard Beach being her most
favorite. She loved St Patrick’s Day, the 4th of July was extra
special standing at the end of Lantern Lane cheering on the
bagpipes at the parade. Her wish was to be driving ‘pops’
cadillac along the route. She was creative and artistic and was
always trying to think of ways to capitalize on it. She loved
music, any kind of music, Dan Hicks & His Hot Licks being a
favorite. She had a love/hate relationship with motorcycles.
She loved the thrill of cruising down the road, but suffered
some life changing debilitating injuries from being involved in a
motorcycle accident. Recent years were filled with many
challenges, but she always tried to have a positive and bright
attitude.
Kasey was the beloved mother of John Joseph Mortimer
Cronin-Spears of Bedford. She also strong bond with Joe’s
siblings Becky Speir of GA, Erin Spears-Cianciolo of GA, and
Captain Thomas Spears, U.S. Navy stationed in CA. She was the
sister of David Cronin of Laconia, NH formerly of Burlington,
MA, Paul Cronin and his wife Allyson of Burlington, Colleen
Lundgren & her husband Bill of Burlington, Maureen Bousquet
& her husband Brian, the late Jack Cronin and his surviving wife
Cheryl Cronin of AZ. She was also survived by many nieces,
nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and SPECIAL cousins (you
know who you are) and dear, faithful friends. She will be dearly
missed by all she has touched.
A visitation will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home,
43 Winn St., Burlington (exit 34 off Rt. 128/95, Woburn side)
on Thursday April 4 from 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are
