Obituary of Della Gertrude Landry

Della Gertrude (Kindred) Landry, a woman who devoted her life to raising her family, passed away at Pine Knoll Nursing Center on Monday evening, April 22, 2019.  She was 80 years old.

Della was born, raised and educated in Somerville. She was an only child born to the late Jonathan and Emily Kindred.     Della married and settled in East Boston.  Her full-time job was raising her seven children. 

Della always put her children’s happiness and well-being ahead of her own.  She taught them the hard lessons in life and to do the right thing.     Della always looked forward to her weekly game of bingo. She enjoyed cookouts and family gatherings at her children’s homes and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 
        

Della will be affectionately remembered as a wonderful and hardworking mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She leaves a legacy of family and will forever be in their hearts.

Della was the beloved mother of James E. Hagen & his wife Christine Magee-Hagan of Burlington, Emeline Thomas & her husband Dale of Londonderry, NH, Walter Hagan & his wife Nancy of Winchendon and the late Mary Jouni-Helmy, John Hagan, Leonard Hagan and Mark Anthony Hagan.  Della is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.  Funeral Services will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128/95 Woburn side) on Saturday, April 27 at 2:30 p.m.  A visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.  Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.  Burial will be private.
