I worked with Joe (as we called him) at Mac-Gray during the 90's. Always a great, great guy who would help out anybody who needed it, he was inexhaustibly cheerful and funny. Joe talked about his family a lot, with great pride and affection. I enjoyed every moment I had the privilege to work alongside Joe, and am deeply saddened at his untimely passing. Susan, you and the family are very much in my thoughts and prayers. May the Lord grant you profound peace, even in the midst of this time of loss.

I worked with Joe for over 33 years. For years we would speak on the phone multiple times a week and sometimes multiple times in a day. Most often talking a little about work and a lot about family and what was happening in our lives. If I had a problem with work, or with life I always knew that I could call my friend Joe and things would be better. Joe thought it was funny that he and I were such good friends from such different backgrounds. He a kid from the projects and me a kid from the woods of Maine.
He adored Sue and the kids. Often telling me proud he was of all of them and how lucky he was. While he was sick we had some difficult conversations about the future. His concern was always about his family, not himself. He told me that he loved his life, his family and friends.
I am going to miss my friend so much.
I love you buddy.
We will meet again.
George

We are so sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. He was a wonderful neighbor, always helpful, and even snow-blowing our driveway if he thought we were away during a snowstorm. We appreciated his many stories, and thoroughly enjoyed watching him work on his projects. He was wonderful and we will miss him dearly.

Please accept my condolences on Mike's passing . We grew up together in the projects. He was a good kid and could run like a deer. So could I and that saved us a lot off grief . He kept a 30 yr old washer running for my mother Ann Burns and came to her wake . My sister Patty and I were so grateful he came . North St. and the Skunks are in our DNA .
Rest Easy Mike Burnsy

Joe will be greatly missed. We shared many hours at Mac-Gray company functions and on the phone talking about sports and family. Joe showed great strength during his years battling cancer and he was always an inspiration to me and many others. I considered Joe a very good friend and his memory will live on in my life and the lives of many others. I will remember Joe in my prays.

To Joe's Family:
Although, I never got the pleasure of meeting any of you, the love Joe had for his family was evident by just having a simple conversation with him. His family was the apple of his eye! I met Joe a little over 6.5 years ago at Mac-Gray. He was kind and gracious in sharing his knowledge & insight of the business with a newbie like myself, and I would always remember that. When we'd see each other at company events, he was the most welcoming guy in the room. I'm going to miss him. I'll be keeping you all in my prayers through this difficult time. May God Bless & keep you all.

To Joe's family,
Joe and I go way back. I have known and worked with Joe for more than 35 years. We traveled to Denmark and Germany together. We spent days and nights in Vermont together working at schools. One night we even slept in our trucks as there were no motels. We will all miss him.

Sue, Charlene, Keith and Jennifer,
My deepest sympathy on Joe’s passing. When we started to work together Joe spent countless hours with me teaching me the laundry business. I will miss our early morning calls discussing nothing about work but about life. He was a wonderful mentor and an even better friend.
