Obituary of Lillian Hiscock

Lillian R. Hiscock, a resident of Burlington for over 46 years, passed away after a short illness at Salem hospital and the Den-Mar Nursing Rehabilitation Facility in Rockport on Wednesday morning, November 7, 2012. She was 84 years old. Lillian was born in Cambridge the daughter of Nova Scotia and Madeleine Islands immigrants, the late George and Rita Levy. She grew up in Burlington living on Cambridge Street, and later Cambridge Mass. She attended elementary school in Burlington and was a graduate of Cambridge High and Latin High School. Lillian had worked as an executive secretary at RCA for many years, but considered herself more a homemaker. She embraced being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed maintaining her home, cooking, sewing, and simply being there for her family. She had been a parishioner at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and family. She loved long drives, with Ogunquit Maine being one of her favorite destinations. She was blessed to have had a caring and loving family whom she adored. Lillian was the beloved wife of 58 years of the late Eben M. Hiscock. She was the loving mother of James Hiscock & his wife April of Rockport and the late Bruce Hitchcock and mother-in-law of Francesca Auciello of Rockport. She was the only sister of Gail Kirkwood of Billerica. She was the proud grandmother of Julia Mooradian, Nicole Sammartino, Danielle and Benjamin Hitchcock and Great grandmother of Ella and Casey Mooradian. Funeral services will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, Nov. 10 at noon. Visiting hours Friday from 4-8 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
