Obituary of Paul McGourty

Paul McGourty a retired Boston Edison employee and parishioner of Saint Barbara Church passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, June 6, 2019.  He was 92 years old. Paul was born in Woburn. He was the son of Michael and Catherine McGourty.  He grew up in the West End of Woburn and was a graduate of Woburn High School.  He worked as a Driver/Groundman for Boston Edison for 36 years.  He was a longtime and faithful parishioner to Saint Barbara Church.

He was the loving husband of the late Bertha McGourty. He was the brother of the late Raymond McGourty, Mary Rice, and Henry McGourty.  He was also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn on Monday, June 10 at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with a burial in Calvary Cemetery, Winchester ,  Arrangements by the Edward V.
