Obituary of Grace M. Sciuto

Grace M. Sciuto, a researcher for University of Massachusetts passed away after an extended illness on Saturday, June 15, 2019.  She was 81 years old. Grace was born in Lawrence the daughter of Sebastiano and Agnes Sciuto.  She grew up in Lawrence and was a 1955 graduate of Lawrence High School.  Education was a very important part of her life.  She was a graduate of McIntosh Business School in Lawrence.  She then earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Harvard University and her Masters from Northeastern University.  She worked for as administrative assistant at Prudential Leasing and Raytheon. She then worked as a manager at Hewlett Packard and retired from UMASS where she did research and surveys.  She loved being in the city living her last 20 years in Jamaica Plain and previously the Fenway.  She had a wonderful circle of friends who she loved socializing and traveling with.  She was a special and loving sister and aunt to her niece, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Grace was the beloved daughter of the late Sebastiano and Agnes Sciuto. She was the sister of Alfred Sciuto of Burlington and the late Salvatore Sciuto. She was the aunt of Dr. Steven Sciuto & his husband Giovanni Capato of Haverhill, Sharon Sciuto of Merrimack, NH and David Sciuto & his wife Gloria of Dracut. She was also survived by many great nieces and nephews.

A visiting hour will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington (exit 34 off Rt. 128/95, Woburn side) on Sunday, June 23 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and conclude with a Funeral Service at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. The burial will be private.
