Obituary of Patricia Louise O'Rourke

Patricia Louise O’Rourke, a lifelong resident of Burlington, passed away on Sunday afternoon, September 22, 2019.  She was 59 years old.

Patricia was born in Woburn. She was the daughter of the late John and Anna O’Rourke.  She was a 1978 graduate of Burlington High School and then went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bentley University.  Patricia had a long and successful career as an accountant working in the Pharmaceutical industry. She was well respected by her peers and was used as a resource by many in the industry.  It was while on a business trip to Florida that she would meet her future husband Jeffrey.  Patricia loved her home in Burlington, so they divided their time between Boca Raton and Burlington.  

Patricia loved to travel and enjoyed visiting stunning destinations such as Vatican City where she met the Pope, Rome where she toured the Colosseum, and Israel where she walked the Stations of the Cross. Her travels also included Russia, France and Ireland. This summer, she enjoyed a local trip to the new Encore Casino in Everett where she spent time with her sisters. Patricia was devoted to her family; most especially her mother Anna. They had a unique and special relationship. They weren’t just mother and daughter they were best friends.  As her mom’s health began to decline Patricia was constantly by her side caring for her.  

Patricia was the wife of Jeffrey Frisch of Boca Raton, FL.   Stepmother of David & Lacey Frisch.  Sister of Kathleen Sousa & her late husband Richard of Burlington, John O’Rourke & his wife Ellen of Ossipee, NH, James O’Rourke & his late wife Jeannette of Reading, Robert O’Rourke & his wife Karen of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and Mary Ellen Emerson & her husband Robert of Stoneham.  Aunt of Amy Percoskie, Kerry Sousa, Ryan McCluskey, Anna Impemba, Katherine Emerson, John O’Rourke, Meagan Hecht and Sheena O’Rourke.  Great aunt of Emma & Cora Percoskie, Haley & Shealyn Brooks, Eliana Hecht and Haden & Ashly O’Rourke.  Funeral Services were private.  Memorials in Patricia’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
