Obituary of Ann Cogliano

Ann Cogliano passed away at Sunrise Assisted Living in Burlington on November 28,2019.  She was 85 years old.

Ann was born in Boston.  She was one of five children born to the late Anthony and Marie Cogliano.  Ahe was raised in West Roxbury and a graduate of Roslindale High School.  Ann worked at the State House in Boston as a Human Resource Administer from February 1953 retiring in July of 1992.  She traveled with her sisters Joan, Ruth and her friend Fran. Together they visited every country in Europe, Asia and took many cruises.  

Ann enjoyed reading mystery novels. She loved watching figure skating competitions on television and made many visits to the old Boston Garden to see the Ice Capades and Ice Follies.  Ann was a devout catholic and a longtime parishioner at Holy Name Parish in West Roxbury.   Her faith was an important part of her life.   Ann never drove so she would walk to Sunday Mass and daily Mass on Holy Days and during the Lenten Season.

Ann had a huge heart.  She was very generous to her church, Holy Name Parish as well as to her nieces and nephews.     Ann will be remembered as a kind and soft-spoken woman who had great love for her family and her faith.

Ann was the beloved daughter of the late Anthony & Marie (Molaskey).  Loving sister of Robert Cogliano & his wife Joan of Burlington and the late Marie Flanagan, Ruth Cogliano & Joan Cogliano.  Loving aunt of Nancy Perich, Cheryl Stanton, Steven Cogliano, Debra Thompson and their families.  Ann is also survived by many great nieces and nephews.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Holy Name Parish, 1689 Centre St., West Roxbury on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 10 a.m.  Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend.  Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.  In lieu of flowers memorials in Ann’s name may be made to Holy Name Parish.  Arrangements under the direction of the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, BURLINGTON.
