Obituary of Mary Grace Carmine Valentino

Mary Grace (Caputo) Valentino passed away peacefully at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln on Sunday morning, December 15, 2019.  She was 93 years old.

Mary was born and raised in Winchester.  She worked as an Executive Assistant at Monsanto Corporation in Everett for over 30 years.  Mary lived in Boston for many years; loving all the excitement of living in the city.  Mary had a very active social life with her friends and they enjoyed going out for dinner, dancing, and taking trips together.   

After selling her condo in Boston, Mary moved across the street from Revere Beach and loved every minute of being at the ocean’s edge.  She eventually moved back to her childhood home in Winchester and for the last few years, Mary lived at Atria Longmeadow Assisted Living Center in Burlington.    

Mary was very involved in the Woman Sons of Italy in Winchester where she was past president and held many local and state offices for the organization as well as being on the scholarship committee. 

Mary will be remembered for her love and dedication to her family and for always being a “fun” aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Mary was the beloved daughter of the late Pietro and Angelina Caputo.  She was the beloved sister of John Caputo of Burlington, Vincent Caputo of Dennis and the late Joseph Caputo.  Mary is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a great great niece and a great great nephew.

A visitation will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St. BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128/95 Woburn side on Friday, Dec. 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, 160 Washington St. Winchester at 11:00 a.m.   Burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Winchester.
