This is Ted Wyman, formerly from Lexington. I worked with Bob at the Hanlons store for about 2 years from 1967 thru 1969/70. The two plus years spent with Bob were absolutely teriffic and laid a solid and positive foundation for me as I entered college and looked forward at my career after I graduated. Bob was a very professional manager and I learned so much from him. He was also a great teacher and mentor. His sense of humor and ethics I fondly remember to this day and I am sad to learn of his passing. I celebrate him as a great man that made such a difference to me as a teenager with dreams. I fondly remember working with him on "Woodstock" weekend. Many of my friends went to Woodstock but Bob and I held the fort together and we talked about the music and the hippies and the mud !!! A fabulous memory......and being a musician to this day, every time anyone speaks to me or asks me about Woodstock, I think of Bob....Rest in Peace, my friend.

To the entire Thacker Family, we were so sorry to hear of your loss. Bob was a great guy, and it seems from his obituary that he lived an extraordinarily blessed life. We are so sorry that we will be unable to attend his services. Please know that you are all in our prayers, and be at peace in the comfort of knowing that he has risen to a far better place.
