I've known June since Pam and my brother, Bruce, started dating and then married. I have never met a more direct and no-nonsense woman in my life! She was not only talented and smarter than a whip but had the same glamor and presence of Jackie Kennedy. Her style was impeccable, and her common sense more so. I appreciated so much about June: her love of family, her travels, her photography, and every Christmas dinner we shared together with Bruce and Pam. She was gracious to all, encouraging young people, and taught me a thing or two about letting go of things that really are not important.
I had Christmas dinner with June ten weeks ago! She was taken from us much too quickly. I want to express my sympathy to the entire family, and wish you strength in the days to come. This is a very heartbreaking event for so many, but knowing June, she would say: "Just get on with it!"
I love you, June. You will always be in my heart.
