M. Audrey (Newton) Scott passed away at the Arnold House in Stoneham on Thursday morning, March 26, 2020.  Audrey was the beloved wife of the late Walter E. Scott and she was 92 years old.

Audrey was born, raised, and educated in Newton, MA.  She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mae Newton.  After graduating from Newton High School, she went on to receive her associate degree from Wheaton College in Norton.  Audrey and Walter married in 1957 and moved to Burlington in the end of 1957, where they would raise their three children.  She was a loving and supportive wife and mother who was always there for her family.  The Scott family enjoyed spending time at their camp on Nippo Lake in Barrington, New Hampshire.

Audrey had many interests and hobbies.  She enjoyed reading, ceramics, and playing cards and bingo.  Audrey also enjoyed participating in the activities at the Burlington Senior Center.  She was a longtime member of St. Malachy and St. Margaret’s Church in Burlington.    Audrey’s greatest joy was spending time with her three granddaughters: Alexandra, Maia, and Mei.  Audrey will be remembered for being a great friend to all, an avid Boston sports fan, and for the funny things she used to do.

Audrey was the beloved wife of the late Walter E.  Loving mother of Mark and his wife Priscilla of Andover, Craig and his wife Wendy of Burlington, and Cheryl and her companion Cathy O’Neil of Denver, CO.    Proud grandmother of Alexandra, Maia, and Mei.  Her children would like to thank her for the wonderful life that she gave them. Due to the coronavirus restrictions, funeral services will be private.
