Obituary of Wilhelmina Saracina

Willie (Baia) Saracina, passed away with her dearest friends by her side, on Tuesday morning, December 11, 2012. The beloved wife of the late Frank J. Saracina and John J. Farley, she was 81 years old. Willie was born in Tewksbury. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Rachel Baia. Willie lived on her family’s farm in Tewksbury as a young child and then moved to Cambridge where she was raised and educated. She worked as a Lady Machinist for Contract Machining for 25 years. Willie settled in Burlington in 1967 where she became an active part of the community. She was an avid bowler and ran many bowling leagues through the years. Willie was known for running the leagues efficiently and making them fun which she took much pride in. She loved to play bingo. Willie also enjoyed an occasional trip to Foxwoods and Moghean Sun. She volunteered her time to the Shriners. Her friend Carol would make Angel’s and Willie would help sell them with proceeds going to the Shriners Hospital. Willie also volunteered her time working the Polls during Town Elections. Willie had a small immediate family but her large circle of friends was very much her family as well. Whether you met Willie through a bowling league or an evening of bingo she touched your life. She was a loyal friend that was always there for you whether it was a card in the mail, a phone call, a short walk together or a visit. Willie’s large circle of friends was evident during her illness. The number of calls and visits she received was amazing and touching. Simply said “Sometimes a person comes into your life and you are a better person for it – Willie was one of those people”. Willie was the beloved wife of the late Frank J. Saracina and John J.
