Dear Auntie Dorothy,
My heart always will have a special spot in it for you- my most favorite aunt and my godmother. You were always full of life and cared about family, above and beyond. As a little girl, I remember you and Uncle Jerry would often come to pick me up and just spend time with me having fun-driving to Revere Beach, or maybe a joy-ride, going for an ice cream or just coming to see us for a visit. You were always filled with laughter, smiles and giving lots of hugs and kisses. I was so excited to be your flower girl in your wedding-you made me feel like a little princess in blue velvet and a special ring I cherish that you gave me to wear.
In later years, you were a huge support and loving sister to my mom, calling her very often to stay connected and close to her as she was slowly slipping into dementia. Whenever I picked up the phone to say hello, I knew you and I could talk freely without judgment about life. You always left me with words of encouragement and love. My son David remembers one fun Easter we spent with your family and he won’t forget your amazing broccoli casserole! You were a fabulous cook and hostess as well.
My heart is very sad, but I’ll always have the fondest memories of you and your love to reflect upon.
Love always,
Your niece and goddaughter, Nancy Libardoni

Auntie Dotty,
I will always remember your smile, your lovely and genuine romance with Uncle Jerry and the profound love your had for your family. I really enjoyed our long telephone conversations. I could feel you smiling through your stories and laughter. You loved us - your nieces and nephews. You were so kind and generous - especially to June, to Mark and to me. You will remain in our hearts forever.
Love,
Linda
