The children in the neighborhood affectionately called her “Aunt Betty”. She also was referred to as Betty, Betty Boop, Mom, Nonnie and Nonsense. Betty was very active in her community dedicating her time to Brownies, Girl Scouts, and Boy Scouts. As a family they enjoyed vacationing at their lake house in Shapleigh, Maine a tradition that continues in the Quinton family.
Betty had many interests, hobbies and enjoyed arts and crafts and gardening. Her greatest joy was her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty would think nothing of taking all her grandchildren to the lake house during their school vacations.
