Obituary of Thomas Corbett
Thomas J. Corbett, a resident of Burlington for 53 years, passed away at the New England Rehabilitation Hospital on Thursday morning, October 26, 2006. The husband of 62 years of Eunice (Lagorio), he was 82 years old.
Tom was born in Boston. He was the son of the late Bernard and Elizabeth Corbett. He was raised and educated in Charlestown. Tom was a Longshoreman working as a Crane Operator for 37 years for Boston Shipping. He was a member of the I.L.A. Union. He was a lifetime member of the Billerica Elks as well as a member of the Cronin Club in Charlestown. Tom enjoyed traveling. He and his wife Eunice had taken trips throughout the United States visiting such places as Alaska, Hawaii, Grand Canyon, and Las Vegas. He was a lover of animals most especially dogs. He also enjoyed working in the garden at his home in Burlington.
Tom is the beloved husband of Eunice (Lagorio). He is the loving father of Thomas Corbett & his wife Carol of Billerica, Joseph Corbett of Burlington, and Nancy & her husband Eric Hanson of Middleboro. He is the brother of Nora O’Donnell of FL, Phyllis Hunter of West Medford, and the late Margaret Crowley, Bernard, Philip, Nicholas, and Edward Corbett. He is the grandfather of Anthony, Philip, Brian, Jason and Keith. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Monday, October 30 at 11:00 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 12:00 Noon. Visiting hours Sunday 3-7 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington. Memorials in Tom’s name may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
