Obituary of David Wood

David E. Wood, a former Burlington resident, passed away unexpectedly in Tewksbury on Tuesday, December 25, 2012. He was 47 years old. David was born in Malden, the son of the late Lawrence and Rita Wood. He grew up in Burlington and was a 1983 graduate of Shawsheen Technical High School. David went to trade school and became a machinist. He had worked Admiral Metals in Woburn for 15 years. David was a big Patriots and Red Sox fan. He was extremely talented and could fix almost anything. He enjoyed working on cars and would help any friend or family member who needed a helping hand. He enjoyed spending time with all his family. He was loving son, a trusting brother and a proud father. He was looking forward to becoming a grandfather. David was the loving father of Courtney Cutietta & her husband, Justin of Nashua, NH and David Wood of Nashua, NH. He was the son of the late Lawrence and Rita Wood. He was the brother of Lawrence A. Wood & his wife Paula of Woburn and the late James Wood. He was the uncle of Adam, Kevin, and Paul Wood. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, Dec. 29 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and will conclude with Funeral services at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Memorial Donations in David’s name may be made to People Helping People, PO BOX 343, Burlington, MA 01803.
