Obituary of Gus T Paulos
Gus T. Paulos, loving husband of Demtra Paulos, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, June 28, 2020. He was 88 years old. Gus was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, one of 3 sons born to Greek immigrants Thomas and Rose Paulos. He spent his childhood and most of his adult years living in Milwaukee. Gus served in the Army during the Korean War and was a longtime employee for American Motors/Chrysler Motors as a quality control inspector. Not long after retiring, Gus and Demetra moved from Milwaukee, WI to Burlington, MA to be closer to their daughter Helen and her family.
Gus approached life much like his work. He worried about the little details and took pride in whatever he did. He was an active parishioner at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Milwaukee. He loved all sports and was a loyal Green Bay Packers, Brewers, and Badgers fan. He spent endless hours washing his car and maintaining his yard. And most importantly he loved being a part of his grandsons’ daily lives and couldn’t be prouder of them.
Gus was the beloved husband of 51 years of Demetra Paulos. He was the loving father of Helen Splagounias and her husband Gregory and proud grandfather of their children Themis and Constantine of Burlington. He was predeceased by his brothers, Nick and John Paulos.
