Ellen M.  (Morgan) Capua passed away with her family at her bedside on the evening of July 3, 2020 after an extensive battle with brain cancer. She was 58 years old.  She was the loving wife of Joseph Capua who also passed of cancer on May 29, 2020.
Ellen was born in Woburn to Robert and Janice Morgan.  She was one of thirteen children, and growing up in the Morgan family was an experience that she would have never traded for anything.  The Morgan family bond and support has been constant as Ellen faced her many health challenges over the past three years.

Ellen started dating her future husband, Joseph Capua, on Friday the 13th of May, 1977 when they were both sophomores at Woburn High School. They made a wonderful couple.  Joe was the outgoing one, who gained the attention of everyone in the room while Ellen was the more reserved one of the pair and the organizer.  They did everything as a team and complemented each other’s personalities perfectly.  They married in 1984 and had four children. They built their home in Burlington in 1996 and were active members of the community for over twenty years. Ellen was very involved in each her children’s lives.  She participated in PTO, volunteered at school activities, and welcomed all her children’s friends with open arms.  Her home, backyard, and pool were the gathering place for her family, friends, and her children’s friends.  She loved organizing and hosting holidays, family celebrations, and keeping all her family together. She was funny, straight to the point, a bit sassy, and was always honest about her thoughts and opinions.  She loved spending summers at Old Orchard Beach with her loved ones.  She loved warm weather vacations with Aruba being one her favorite destinations.  She was thrilled to become a grandmother and relished every moment spent with her granddaughters.  She fought hard against her disease and never complained or wanted sympathy.  Throughout Joe and Ellen’s illnesses, she remained strong for their family. She raised her children to recognize the importance of family, a value that has allowed them to lean on each other throughout this tragic time in their lives. It has devastated the family to lose both of them in just five weeks, but it gives them some solace to know that Joe and Ellen are once again reunited in heaven.

Ellen was the beloved wife of the late Joseph R. Capua.  She was the loving mother of Kristine Morse & her husband Ryan of Peterborough, NH, Erica Capua & her fiancé Ramon Ortiz of North Andover, Marissa Capua & her girlfriend Kerry Kenneally of North Chelmsford and Jay Capua & his fiancé Jacob DeMasi of Waltham.  She was the proud grandmother of Celia, Lena & Elani. She was the sister of Maureen Callahan of Bradford, Terri Folk of Wilmington, Robert Morgan, Jr. of FL, Thomas Morgan of Wakefield, Mary Morgan of Londonderry, NH, James Morgan of Stoneham, Edward Morgan of Salem, NH, Timothy Morgan of Billerica, David Morgan of Woburn, Jackie MacDougall of CA, Julie Sgroi of Lynnfield, and Matthew Morgan of Woburn. She was the daughter of the late Robert Morgan, the late Janice Morgan, and Mary Morgan of Woburn. She was the daughter-in-law of Rosario Capua of Burlington and the late Lois Capua.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday July 8 from 4 to 6 p.m. for the family and from 6 to 8 p.m. for the public at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington.
