Dear Paul,
We are both graduates of MHS class of 1970 (the good old days) but I remember your mother when she was a cashier at Bell Rock Market.
She was so kind and friendly, and I was impressed at the young age of 8, that she would take the time to talk to me.
She always had a smile on her face and always willing to help when I had a problem getting the groceries on my list.
She is a great lady; unforgettable because of her caring, kindness, and other wonderful attributes.
I never forget people who have influenced my life in a positive way, and your beloved mother will always be in my heart as someone who I am grateful to for touching my life.

My deepest sympathy to Paul, Mary and Danny in the loss of Hazel. I had the pleasure of meeting Hazel through her sons Wife Mary, my friend, many years ago when Paul and Mary first met.
I always enjoyed our conversations we had. Hazel was full of life and always enjoyed being around family and friends.
I will always remember the closeness and love she had for her sister Bea also. Take comfort in all the wonderful memories you have of her.

My Dearest Fiesty, Wonderful Aunt Hazel,
I am so very saddened to hear this news, but ever so grateful that you were part of my life. In so many ways, you were the inspiration for my own independence - and my Mom's rock in her darkest times. She always knew how much you cared. It is so hard to believe that the last of the Hickey sisters and brothers - Mom and all my aunts and uncles - are now gone, but I find solace in the thought that all of you are now together again, and I know certainly that you will be the lively spirit, directing all the games, keeping them all in line - and it makes me smile.
Rest peacefully, Aunt Hazel. You meant so much to all of us, and I know that in the hearts and memories of this family and of we cousins - your nieces and nephews - you will live on always.
Thank you for just being you ...
With so much love,
Janet Lee

Paul and Mary,
Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. I remember Hazel very well and I know what a lovely woman she was. She always seemed kind and so good natured. Even as a young child I remember liking her instantly. Her warmth transcended age. I am sure that her spirit lives on in you. Warmest regards, Pam
