Obituary of Sharon J Cunningham

Sharon J. (Nadolny) Cunningham, passed away peacefully after a long illness at her home on Saturday afternoon, September 12, 2020.  She was 68 years old.

Sharon was born in Lowell.   She was one of 7 children born to the late Emil and Mildred Nadolny.  Sharon was raised and educated in Burlington and a 1970 graduate of Burlington High School.  She went on to receive her associate degree from Middlesex Community College.    Sharon worked many years at Mayo lab as an It Analyst.  It was a great job for Sharon because Mayo Clinic was based in Minnesota she was able to work from her home and spend more time with her family.

Sharon loved nature and she truly saw beauty in everything she saw whether it was a flower, tree or butterfly.   She was truly knowledgeable about the different types of flowers, birds and butterflies.  Just being outside gave her peace and tranquility.  Sharon lived many places including Taiwan, Germany, Virginia, Alabama and Maryland.  She loved going to the beach and particularly loved Cape Cod.   A trip to Las Vegas or Foxwoods were always a lot of fun for Sharon and her sisters and also her nephew Brian.  Sharon attended many Patriot Football games with her close friend Pete.

Sharon had a close relationship with her family.  She had a special bond with her daughter Michelle, whom she lived with.  The two of them were inseparable.  She loved to face-time with her grandson Jonathan.    Growing up in the large Nadolny family made family gathering and holidays always a special event.  Sharon will be remembered for her outgoing personality, quick sense of humor and love of her family.

Sharon was the beloved mother of Michael & his wife Pei-Yao of Framingham and Michelle of Woburn.  Proud grandmother of Jonathan and David.  Sister of Peggy Syzmanowicz and her partner Paul Paris of Woburn, Steven Nadolny & his wife Lynda of Woburn, Robert Nadolny & his wife Carla of Burlington, Christine Scott & her husband Walter of Lexington, Edward Nadolny & his wife Donna of Dracut and James Nadolny & his wife Dori of NH.  Sharon is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.  Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128/95 Woburn side) on Sunday, Sept. 20 from 3-4:30 p.m.  Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.  Funeral Services and Burial will be private.
